EU gold medallist Ken Egan will meet Darren O'Neill in a repeat of last year’s Light Heavyweight Senior boxing final after O'Neill saw off the challenge of Rylane's Tom Murrary in last night’s 81Kg semi final at the Stadium.

Paulstown ace O'Neill looked impressive against Leesider Murray last night, but is facing a tough task versus Egan who won last years head- to-head en route to capturing his fifth senior title on the trot.

Meanwhile Edward Healy will clash with Darren Sutherland in the Middleweight final after he recorded a comfortable victory over Disha Gezim.

Top Irish boxing club St Michaels Athy, will have five boxers in next weekend’s deciders after Eric Donovan, Roy Sheahan, John Joe Joyce, David Joyce, and David Oliver Joyce all recorded last four victories.

The semi finalists will qualify for the trials for the Irish Amateur Boxing Association Pre Elite and Elite squads which will be held in February.

The 2006 Senior Championships will conclude with finals in all weight categories on Friday night next at the National Stadium.
