Oklahoma-based Dubliner Oisin Fagan chalked up his second successive knockout win overnight in Kansas as he scored a second round KO of John Huskey.
The 32-year-old Fagan, had too much class for the local youngster. Huskey hit the canvas late in the first round and was forced to retire in the second after a barrage of powerful body punches from Fagan, who was improving his record to 10 wins and three defeats.
Fagan, who is expected to return to the ring on February 25 to defend his Oklahoma State Lightweight title, said: "I thought I fought really well and I was happy to win in such a good fashion.
“I pray that John (Huskey) will make a full recovery and hopefully the injuries (broken rubs) he sustained will not be as bad as first expected."
