Arklow's James Moore is to fight Swedish super middleweight Manji Conteh at New York's Hammerstein Ballroom on November 4.

The 27-year-old Moore, a bronze medallist from the 2001 World Amateur Championships, is coming off the back of a hard-fought victory over veteran Hollister Elliott last month.

Moore was floored in the second round but recovered to record the second KO win of his three-fight professional career.

Also on the November 4 bill, which is headlined by Brooklyn heavyweight Shannon Briggs, unbeaten middleweight John Duddy will box Nicaraguan Jose Varela in an eight-rounder.

The talented Derryman's record of 12 wins (11 KOs) has seen him rated as a top prospect Stateside and in sight of a New York State title.
