Mike Tyson reverted to type last night as he stepped up the war of words with Irishman Kevin McBride ahead of their heavyweight clash on Saturday night.
The once self-styled `baddest man on the planet' had been content to concentrate on talking up his own well-being in the build-up to this weekend's Washington bout.
However, at a press conference to promote the 10-round non-title fight, Tyson could not resist hyping up his latest comeback bid.
"I'm going to gut him like a fish", blasted Tyson, who will be 39 later this month. "He's a tomato can. This is going to be a first-class education in humility."
Tyson will be having his first bout since a fourth-round loss to Britain's Danny Williams in July last year and has not held a world title belt since 1996.
However, over 13,000 tickets have already been sold for his match with McBride to show his amazing pulling power still remains intact.
"People may call this a circus, but I'm not a circus, I'm an icon", said Tyson. "I'm an international superstar, if they don't know my name they're from another planet."
