Tims ends Reynolds reign

Ian Tims is the new heavyweight champion having beaten six-time champion Alan Reynolds in the National Stadium last night.

Tims upset expectations by recording a 13-9 win over Reynolds.

In the light heavyweight final Kenneth Egan beat Kilkenny's Darren O'Neill with a superb show of punching.

Kildare's David Oliver Joyce won his first senior title at bantam weight, while Limerick's Andy Lee defeated Eamon O'Kane at middleweight.
