Egan unlucky in Bangkok

Irish Light Heavyweight Kenneth Egan was beaten this afternoon by the World Champion from Kazakstan at the World Amatuer Boxing Championships in Bangkok. A win would have guaranteed the 21-year-old Neilstown fighter a medal, but he was beaten on points despite winning the last round of the bout. Egan was Ireland's only hope of a medal after Andy Lee and James Moore lost yesterday.
