Corrie Sanders captured the WBO heavyweight title on Saturday night with a surprise second-round knockout of holder Wladimir Klitschko. The South African floored Klitschko twice in the opening round and another fierce left from his little-known challenger sent him to the canvas again and ended the fight 27 seconds into the second round.
It was only the second defeat of a professional career featuring 40 wins for the Germany-based Ukrainian, whose older brother Vitali saw his scheduled title fight against Lennox Lewis called off in January.
