Naseem Hamed's trainer Oscar Suarez has backed his man to bounce back from his only professional loss in explosive fashion tomorrow night. Hamed takes on Spain's Manuel Calvo for the vacant IBO title at London Arena, 13 months after suffering the first and only loss on his 36-fight record to Marco Antonio Barrera in Las Vegas. Suarez and the 28-year-old Sheffield fighter insist he can right the wrongs of that painful night and already have the accomplished Mexican in their sights for revenge.
Suarez said, "Naseem is going to show everybody on Saturday what he should have showed them against Barrera. Naz was ready for Barrera that night but only God knows what happened. Naz was not at his best that night - but you did see the best of Barrera. Barrera cannot go to another level but Naz can. And Barrera knows that whatever he tries next time, he is going to get knocked out."
