It is the biggest night in Irish boxing as the finals of the National Senior Championships take place at the National Stadium and Liam Cunningham has captured his fifth title in six years. The Belfastman secured his fourth consecutive victory in the flyweight event with a 13-7 win over Dublinman Darren Campbell.
John Paul Kinsella retained his lightfly title when he defeated Paul Hyland 10-7 in the opening bout of the evening while Martin Lindsay is the new Bantamweight champion after defeating Damien McKenna 13-8.
In the featherweight division, Stephen Ormond easily overcame Gavin Browne 29-13 while the lightweight title was won by Cavan's Andrew Murray with a massive 30-12 victory over Noel Monteith of Belfast. The lightwelterweight event was won by Derry's Paul McCloskey after he defeated Roy Sheahan of Athy 12-5.
