A news conference to announce a world heavyweight title fight between world champion Lennox Lewis and former champion Mike Tyson was disrupted by a mass brawl involving the two fighters in New York today. The two fighters were standing on podiums on the stage at the front of the conference when Tyson suddenly walked across towards Lewis and seemed to throw a punch at another man standing near Lewis.
A fight then broke out involving the two fighters and around 20 other people on the stage. Lewis is the holder of the World Boxing Council and International Boxing Federation belts while former champion Tyson is the number one WBC contender.
It was announced that Lewis will fight Tyson on April 6 at Las Vegas.
