Hamed wants to fight in Britain

Naseem Hamed will not fight in America, until he is ready to challenge for a world title again. Hamed lost his first fight, and his titles, to Marco Antonio Barrera, in Las Vegas earlier this year. The 'Prince' feels that his experiences in America have been less than satisfactory. He is planning his comeback in the New Year, but seems set to start his comeback in Britain rather than the US.

Hamed's brother, Riath, said: "We've fought in America and we've not really enjoyed it as much as we thought we would. We did it a few times and we made a heck of a lot of money. But it's not about that any more. It's about finding a place where we are comfortable."

Riath, who is on Hamed's managerial team, also confirmed that they would be willing to travel to the US for prizefights. "Naz has specifically said that he wants to fight the big fights in Vegas."
