Lennox Lewis weighed in for tomorrow's world heavyweight title showdown with Frans Botha at London Arena then reiterated his desire to finish his career with a match against Mike Tyson. Lewis tipped the scales at 17stone 12lbs, three pounds heavier than when he bludgeoned Michael Grant to second-round defeat in his last fight in February.
Botha, three inches shorter, was almost exactly a stone lighter at 16stone 12lbs 14oz when the pair weighed in among the clowns mime artists and office workers of Covent Garden. 'My weight looks good and I was just happy that all the people turned out to support me, they will not be disappointed on the night,' Lewis said. 'When it comes to heavyweight fights there are not too many out there left for me. My next couple of fights are going to be big fights and they are going to be in America. I don't really see a fight in England unless we are going to get Tyson over here and I doubt he'd be allowed back into the country. This is what I want to do, he called me out on TV, saying he wanted to eat my heart, eat my kids, well first he has to eat my left and my right and he knows what he can have for dessert.' (PA)
