Ballincollig moved into the outright lead at the top of the Domino's Men's Super League, following an 84-81 road win at Belfast Star in a top-of-the-table clash.
It was the Cork side's second win over Star this season after previously beating them in the Domino's MSL National Cup earlier this month.
A 32-point first quarter for Ballincollig put them well on their way to victory as Belfast Star's slow starts continue to cause issues for them.
Star got back into it, winning the second quarter by 13 to bring the game in at half-time on level terms.
However, a 22-16 third quarter wasn't enough for Star to catch back up before time ran out.
Latrell Jossell was the star of the show as he dropped 34 points, including seven threes, to give Ballincollig their ninth victory of the season.
The win now puts a game between the two sides at the top of the table going into Christmas.
Killester joined UCD Marian and Griffith College Éanna on seven wins, after a 30-point win over EJ Sligo All-Stars.
The 109-79 victory saw Robert Braswell scoring 28 points and both Josh Wilson and Baptiste Chazelas having double-doubles in a game where Killester dominated the boards with 53 rebounds.
The game was tight throughout, with 10 lead changes, but a 21-point swing in the final quarter made the scoreline unflattering for Sligo.
The loss has Sligo now tied with both Limerick Celtics and Flexachem KCYMS at four wins in the hunt for the final play-off spot.
Garvey's Tralee Warriors slowed down Griffith College Éanna's push for title contention with a 90-84 victory in Castleisland.
Tralee's pro duo in Irshaad Hunte and Jordan Perkins combined for 49 of Tralee's 90 points, with Hunte adding 16 rebounds.
In a game with very few lead changes, it was Warriors' 27-17 third quarter that put them on course for their sixth win of the season and avoided falling to a negative record.
For Éanna, they fall to 7-4 and slip to fourth in the table.
St Vincent's defeated UCC Demons 103-99 in Glasnevin.
UCC Demons' new signings in Jordan Washington and Tamyrik Fields combined for 55 of Demons' points, but it was St Vincent’s Jaylyn Richardson who carried them, as he continues his strong showings with 35 points.
Vincent's went in at half-time down nine points, but a 60-47 second half handed the Dublin side their sixth win of the season and a third in five games.
For Demons, they remain tied at the bottom of the table with a 2-9 record.
UCD Marian hit another gear in their play-off push with a 100-68 triumph over Energywise Ireland Neptune.
UCD Marian's newest signing Bruce Saintilus carried on his strong showings since arriving at Marian, following up a 28-point debut with a 32-point game on Saturday.
The offensive display from Naptune's trio of Michael Hayes, Samuel Henderson, and Eoin Nelson accounted for 55 of their 68 points.
Neptune are at the foot of the table with fellow UCC Demons, while the win for Marian has them at 7-4 in joint-third with Éanna and Killester.
Limerick Celtics defeated Flexachem KCYMS 84-77. AJ Williams had his highest scoring game of the season so far with 28 points, while Ruairi Cronin also had his best performance with 19 points for Celtics.
New signing Tony Hauser also put on a solid display with his first double-double for the Limerick side.
A combined 38 points from Jeffery Okeke and Jordan Blount wasn't enough for Killorglin in what was one of the closer games of the weekend, with 17 lead changes in the game.
The win for Celtics now has them at 4-7, along with Killorglin, in eighth and ninth in the league ladder.
