FloMAX Liffey Celtics claimed their first win of the season in a narrow 66-65 victory over Gurranabraher Credit Union Brunell.

Brooke Kane led the way with 26 points for Celtics, who trailed by as much as 19 before mounting a comeback that saw them take the lead midway through the fourth quarter.

The win lifts Liffey off the bottom of the table and into ninth place. Brunell, now 3-2, drop to fourth.

Despite 26 points from Laila Blair, Catalyst Fr. Mathews remain winless after a 82-69 defeat to promoted side McEvoy's Cavan Eagles.

Soleil Barnes starred for Cavan with 33 points, while Katie O’Sullivan added 14 points and 14 rebounds. The win moves Cavan into fifth place at 2-3, while Fr. Mathews stay rooted to the bottom.

Killester continued their unbeaten run, making it five wins from five with an 81-64 victory over Midlands Park Portlaoise Panthers.

It was a dominant team performance for the midlanders, with Samantha Haiby, Audrey Roden, Hannah Thornton, and Leva Bagdanaviciene all scoring in the double figures. Haiby also grabbed 15 rebounds, while Thornton added 10.

Killester now look ahead to a short trip to Trinity Meteors, where they’ll aim to go 6-0.

Hazel Finn continued her strong form since joining Trinity Meteors, leading them to a 63-53 win over Utility Trust St. Paul’s Killarney.

Meteors took an early lead and never looked back, handing Killarney their first loss of the season. The win moves Trinity into second place at 4-1.

Sunday’s sole fixture saw SETU Waterford Wildcats edge UCC Glanmire 79-75 to improve to 3-2 on the season.

Irish international Sarah Hickey delivered another standout performance with 28 points and nine rebounds. Tiarra Brown also impressed, posting 18 points and 18 rebounds in a tightly contested game that was tied on five separate occasions.
