Ireland have been drawn against North Macedonia, Luxembourg and Azerbaijan in Group A in the first round of the FIBA EuroBasket 2029 Pre-Qualifiers, following Monday's draw for the competition in Riga.
Ireland begin their campaign away against Luxembourg on 27 November, followed by a home game against top seeds North Macedonia three days later at the National Basketball Arena.
It will be the first qualifying campaign under new Ireland head coach Micheal Bree, following his appointment in July.
Commenting on draw, Bree said: "We are looking forward to competing in the upcoming FIBA EuroBasket pre-qualifying games.
"It will be an excellent opportunity to test ourselves against quality competition in Europe. I am excited to finally get the group together and begin preparations."
