C&S UCC Demons have claimed their second ever League and Cup double with a 112-81 win at home to UCD Marian, with two games to spare in the league.

It was the Cork sides’ 20th consecutive win in all competitions and their 16th in an unbeaten Basketball Ireland Men’s Premier League campaign.

Travelodge Swords Thunder's 97-80 win at BFG Neptune wasn't enough to keep them in the title race after they lost at home on Friday night.

Killester failed to score in the first quarter of the game but game back to win 74-62 at the ALSAA. Templeogue moved back into pole position for the last Champions Trophy spot when Isaac Gordon's buzzer beater gave them a 67-65 win at Belfast Star.

DCU Saints, meanwhile, moved up table with a win at home to Dublin Inter.

DCU Mercy also came from behind to seal a win against Meteors. It also shores up the playoff spots as Team Montenotte Hotel, Singleton SuperValu Brunell, Courtyard Liffey Celtics and DCU Mercy are all guaranteed top four placings.

Team Montenotte Hotel had too much for an under strength Maxol WIT Wildcats while Killester's win over Courtyard Liffey Celtics means that UL Huskies will be relegated.
