The UCC Mardyke Arena hosted Ireland's European Championship semi-final round against Cyprus last night where extra time was needed to separate the sides. It took a double period of overtime to seperate the sides after they were tied up 79-79 at the end of normal time. Ireland eventually won by 104-99 with Cal Bowdler top scorer for the home side with 30 points and Glen Sekunda scored 22.
