Two defeats this weekend ended St Vincent's' magnificent recent run and almost certainly rules them out of league contention. UCD Marian dealt Vincent's their second blow of the weekend, defeating them 86-83 on Sunday after going down 100-80 to Notre Dame on Saturday night.
Neptune managed to keep their title hopes alive this weekend by defeating Killester 77-76 in a last gasp basket from Stephen McCarthy. Elsewhere in Cork, UCC Demons defeated UCD Marian (75-78), while both Kerry teams were dealt defeats over the weekend. Tralee Tigers went down 72-80 to Waterford Crystal, while there were no surprises in Belfast where Star defeated Killarney 101-77.
In the women's Superleague, a disappointing performance from Tolka Rovers saw Waterford Wildcats record a comprehensive 75-56 victory. Meteors defeated Dart Killester while there were also victories for Drimnagh and University of Limerick.
