The Irish basketball Association today announced that Gerry Fitzpatrick will take over as head coach to the Men's National Team. Fitzpatrick replaces Bill Dooley who is returning to America in August on completion of his two-year contract.
Fitzpatrick has been Assistant Coach of the Irish team in the qualifying and semi-final stages of the European Championships. He will be in charge for the next five games of the campaign in the European Championships in November of this year and January of next year.
