Following a week of doubt, Sx3 Star have confirmed that they will not be attending the Men's National Tournament in Killarney this weekend. Star were scheduled to play Esat Demons tonight, but their withdrawal from the tournament gives Demons a bye to the play-off's on Saturday. All other fixtures stand.
Star won nine of their last eleven games to snatch the eighth and final position in the tournament but are unable to get a squad together for the 9pm tip-off tonight. Star's inability to fulfil the fixture is an issue to be addressed by the National Competitions Committee in the coming weeks.
