No joy for Tralee

Tralee Community College suffered a devastating one-point defeat in the U19 A final, going down 50-49 to Colaiste Eanna, Dublin in the Cadbury's Time Out All Ireland Schools Finals in the National Basketball Arena in Tallaght today. Tralee led for the entire first half before Colaiste Eanna took control midway through the third quarter and the Dublin side never relented. Captain Nick Kinevane (Colaiste Eanna) was awarded MVP.

Colaiste Phadraig were pushed all the way to take the U19 B title in a 60-48 victory over Mounthawk Tralee. Although Tralee trailed for most of the game, their concession of eight unanswered baskets in the final minute marked the end of their title hopes.

In the U16 C final, Castlecomer came back to defeat St Aidan's Cootehill 37-32. Captain Daniel Walsh received the MVP award.
