L-R: Fiona Everard, Brian Fay, Niamh Allen and Noah Harris will represent Ireland at the 2026 World Cross Country Championships in Florida on Saturday

The Irish team has landed in Florida ahead of Saturday's World Cross Country Championships.

Brian Fay, Fiona Everard, Niamh Allen and Noah Harris will represent Ireland at the 46th edition of the event, which returns to the United States for the first time since 1992.

The course terrain at Apalachee Regional Park in Tallahassee is set to feature sand, water, mud, and a signature 'rollercoaster’ element.

Noah Harris, the 18-year-old from Wicklow who is currently studying at the University of Tennessee, is first up in the men’s Under-20 race at 3.55pm Irish time.

The senior women’s race begins at 4.35pm with Everard and Allen flying the Irish flag.

Everard returns to this stage having finished 60th in last year’s event, and enjoyed a top-10 finish at the European Cross Country in December.

Leevale’s Allen is making her World debut having finished 23rd in the Europeans in Lagoa, Portugal.

Olympian Fay comes into the men’s event (5.20pm Irish time) on the back of a memorable 2025 cross country season.

The Raheny Shamrock club man won the national title in November before a month later being a scoring member of the Irish team that won a historic silver medal at the European Cross Country Championships, the first by an Irish senior men’s team in 25 years.

This will be his debut appearance at the World Cross Country Championships.
