Orla Comerford has become a double world champion after winning gold in the T13 200m final at the World Para Athletics Championships in New Delhi.
The Paris Games bronze medallist followed up her success in the 100m final by coming home in 24.71 seconds to claim victory once again.
Comerford beat the same two rivals as in last week's race, with Brazil's Rayane Soares Da Silva finishing second in 25.24 and Kym Crosby of the United States taking bronze, posting 25.64 in a race contested by athletes with a visual impairment.
Reflecting on a dream championships, Comerford said: "The goal for me here was to try and win that 100, for me the 200 was the cherry on top.
"After Monday night, I was just like 'it's there, I feel good, I feel strong, and I think as well the Brazilian broke the world record in both the 100 and the 200 in the summer, so I knew that coming out and beating her in the 100 would put down a mark.
"I wanted to put my stamp on that and show that I’m here to contend."
