Sarah Healy has won a gold medal in the 3,000m at the European Indoor Athletics Championships in the Netherlands.
Healy made a mid-race move to advance into the leading group in the final 600 metres.
A group of eight athletes were in medal contention as the final lap began.
In second spot coming around the final bend, Healy passed out Britain's Melissa Courtney-Bryant on the closing straight to claim gold in a time of 8:52.86 in Apeldoorn. Salome Alfonso of Portugal finished third.
"It was amazing...the best part is that my parents are here becasue they have seen me so sad so many times." - Sarah Healy revels in her gold medal victory.

The Monkstown athlete, who turned 24 last month, is the first Irish woman to win gold at the event.
Speaking to RTÉ Sport afterwards, Healy remembered her previous heartache at major championships, saying: "The best part is that my parents are here because I guess they have seen me so sad so many times. That was just so nice.
"I knew I had an opportunity today to win a medal. And I also knew I had a chance to win a gold but I didn't want to put too much expectation on it and just try to race the best I could.
"I wanted to race for the win but I knew a medal was going to be great too.
"I felt so good the whole way around. But it was so messy, it was just a case of trying to get the space for it and I had to wait until the last possible moment. I'm so glad it worked."
It was a memorable afternoon for Ireland after Mark English won a bronze medal in the 800m and Kate O'Connor also took bronze in the pentathlon.
