Irish indoor records were broken at the Millrose Games in New York, with Sarah Healy, Mark English and Andrew Coscoran setting new national marks in the 3,000m, 800m and the mile respectively.
Healy finished third in a time of eight minutes 30.79 seconds in the 3,000m, bettering the mark of 8:35.19 she set in Boston last week.
The UCD AC competitor is now the seventh fastest European woman over the distance.
English finished fourth in the 800m, clocking a time of 1:45.15 in the event to knock nearly one second off his previous best.
In finishing seventh in the Wanamaker Mile, Coscoran's time of 3:49.26 broke Eamon Coghlan's national indoor mile record of 3:49.78. There was also a 1,500m split provided and the 28-year-old bettered his own national record in the indoor event, recording 3:33.40. Coscoran now holds all four, of the mile and 1,500m Irish records and it signifies a true changing of the guard to the modern era of Irish athletics.
In the men's 3,000m, American Grant Fisher smashed the world indoor after a thrilling duel with Olympic 1,500m champion Cole Hocker.
Fisher and Hocker were locked in battle throughout the race before Fisher passed his fellow American off the final turn to clock 7:22.91 seconds, lowering Ethiopian Lamecha Girma's world mark of 7:23.81 set in 2023.
The 27-year-old Fisher won bronze in both the 5,000m and 10,000m at last year's Paris Olympics.
Hocker crossed the line in 7:23.14 on Saturday, also under Girma's mark.
