Luke McCann broke his 1500m personal best in finishing second at the Stockholm Diamond League on Sunday.
McCann impressed last week in Ostrava after returning from injury and posted a time of 3:33.36 in the Swedish capital to finish a close second behind Robert Farken of Germany (3:33.53).
The time puts McCann fourth on the Irish all-time list.
The Dubliner remains outside the automatic Olympic qualifying standard of 3:33.50, but time and bonus points will ensure he's within the cut-off to secure a place via world rankings.
Sophie Becker finished third in the 400m with a time of 52.17. The race was won by American Alexis Holmes (51.18) and South Africa’s Zeney Geldenhuys (52.12).
