Sarah Lavin clocked 12.73 in the 100m hurdles at the Diamond League meeting in Doha on Friday, the first time she has gone under 13 seconds for a season-opening event.

The Limerick competitor finished fifth, for what the sixth-quickest time of her career, in a race where Switzerland's Mujinga Kambundji took victory in 12.49.

Lavin, however, did lose her balance just after the finishing line and landed face first into the ground. Thankfully she rose to her feet quickly, though she did have a red mark underneath her left eye.

Of the other Irish in Doha, Andrew Coscoran clocked 3:34.25 in the 1500m, and Sarah Healy was tenth in the women's 1500m, posting 4:00.42.
