Rhasidat Adeleke finished second and just outside her own Irish 200m record on her professional debut at the Gyulai Istvan Continental Tour Gold meeting near Budapest.

The Dubliner clocked 22.36 seconds, just two one hundredths slower than the mark she set in April, behind world champion Shericka Jackson of Jamaica (22.02).

Former world junior champion Anthonique Strachan of the Bahamas was third.

It was a fine run for Adeleke, who runs her main event, the 400 metres, on Friday evening at the Monaco Diamond League meeting.
