Ciara Mageean posted a season's best time in the 1500m as she finished fourth at the prestigious Diamond League meeting in Rome.
The Portaferry native clocked four minutes 5.44 seconds in a tactical race won by Ethiopia’s Hirut Meshesha.
Mageean lowered the time she set at the Birmingham Diamond League three weeks ago in what was her first outdoor race of the season over the distance.
Elsewhere, Sarah Lavin set a new personal best of 12.94 in the 100m hurdles as she finished second in the Continental Tour event in the Slovakian town of Samorin.
