Ireland's Mixed Relay team have qualified for the Tokyo Olympics.
The 4x400m team of Christopher O'Donnell, Phil Healy, Sharlene Mawdsley and Thomas Barr finished third in their Heat at the World Relays in Poland behind Brazil and Dominican Republic - a place ahead of Great Britain & Northern Ireland - to book their place for the Games.

4th fastest time overall and into tomorrows final 🔥🔥

The Brazilian foursome were first past the post in 3:16.53, with Dominican Republic a shade behind at 3:16.67 and Ireland, with closer Barr, right there in the mix at 3:16.84.
The first two home in each Heat qualified automatically with the two next fastest teams also qualifying. Ireland, as the fastest third-placed team, booked their place.
Ireland's Heat 3 final time would have been good enough for second place in Heat 2 and would have won the opening Heat.
