Nadia Power smashed the 800m Irish indoor record she set two weeks ago to take third at the World Indoor Tour in Torún, Poland on Wednesday evening.
The Dublin City Harriers athlete has moved to No 8 in the world in 2021 and sixth in Europe as her sensational run of form continues.
Last Saturday she took victory at the 800m at IFAM Gent Indoor meeting in Belgium, while a month ago she broke the Irish indoor record in Vienna, coming home in 2:02.44 - three seconds better than her previous PB.
Today in Poland, the 2019 European U-23 bronze medallist smashed that time, crossing the line in 2:00.98 behind home favourite Joanna Jozwik and Ethiopian Habitam Alemu, who ran in a new meeting record of 1:58.19.
It was her final race before the European Indoors which return to the same venue in Torún on 5 March.
