Rhasidat Adeleke has won a gold medal for Ireland at the Youth Olympics in Baku, after storming to victory in the Girls' 100m sprint.
The 16-year-old came home the clear winner in an impressive time of 11.7 seconds
"I finally did it," she told Team Ireland after her victory. "This is what I've been praying for all season. To get the gold, I'm so happy. I'm ecstatic."
Adeleke led the race from early on and raised her hand in triumph as she powered over the line in the Azerbaijan capital.
The Dubliner was part of the Ireland 4x100m relay team who won a silver medal at the IAAF World U20 Championships last year. She was unable to run in the final after injuring her hamstring.
