Lizzie Lee emerged victorious ion the Vhi Women’s Mini Marathon, crossing in a time of 34.18 ahead of Laura Shaughnessy (34.30) and Siobhan O’Doherty (34.55) on the sun-soaked streets of Dublin.
Sinead Kane from Cork won the Visually Impaired Category in a time of 47.54.
Around 30,000 women took to the capital for the event, which took place on a Sunday for the first time in 18 years.
Runners, joggers and walkers of all abilities completed the 10km route, the largest all-female event of its kind in the world.
