Fionnuala McCormack will spearhead a strong Irish team at the European Cross Country Championships in Sardinia, with the main action from Chia set to be broadcast on RTÉ2 from 11am.
McCormack, who won gold in Velenje in 2011 and in Budapest in 2012, finished fourth at last year’s European Cross Country Championships.
The 32-year-old will face stiff competition from Norway’s Karoline Grovdal and the Turkish pair of Yasemin Can and Meryem Akda.
