Usain Bolt has allayed fears he could miss the Rio Olympics by confirming he will race at the Muller Anniversary Games in London later this month.
The six-time Olympic gold medallist, the world record holder over 100 and 200 metres, was forced to pull out of the Jamaican National Championships last weekend with a minor hamstring tear.
There were concerns the injury might end the sport's biggest star's hopes of completing an historic 'triple double' of sprint crowns in Brazil, but following treatment Bolt has now been passed fit to race in the English capital.
He said in a video message: "This is Usain Bolt, just wanted to tell everyone to come out and watch me at the London Anniversary Games on Friday, 22 July. I'll be there, I'm excited to come back to London."
Bolt is due to race over 200m at the Olympic Stadium, where he has to prove his fitness to seal selection for Rio.
