Relay runner Brandon Arrey added to Irish squad for European Indoor Championships in Prague

With Paul Murphy (Ferrybank AC) having to withdraw due to injury, 19-year-old Brandon Arrey (Blarney/Inniscara AC) will join the Men's 4x400m squad who will compete in the European Indoor Athletics Championships in Prague next weekend .

Arrey finished 4th in the GloHealth Indoor Track and Field Championships in a new personal best of 48.81. 

Dara Kervick (Clonliffe Harriers AC)  who had a breakthrough performance of 46.53 to win the GloHealth Senior Championship last weekend will be a key member of the team, who were invited to compete in the championships following their fifth placing in the European outdoors Zurich last summer. Seasoned relay members Thomas Barr, Brian Gregan and Richard Morrissey have opted to focus their efforts on the upcoming outdoor season
