Derval O’Rourke put in an unbelievable performance to reach tonight's final of the 100m Hurdles at the World Championships in Berlin.
O'Rourke finished fourth in her semi-final in a season's best time of 12.72 seconds. Only the top two progressed to the final so O'Rourke had to rely on being one of the fastest losers.
Her time was three-hundreths of a second better than America's Damu Cherry meaning the Cork woman will take her place in the final later tonight.
The Leevale athlete was just one hundredth of a second off her Irish record and will now run in the finale at 8:15pm tonight. She will run for lane one.
