Twice Olympic champion Haile Gebrselassie has confirmed that he will run in the 10,000 metres at the Beijing Olympics.
The four times world 10,000m champion retired from the track after finishing fifth in Athens, to concentrate on the marathon, where he is now the world record holder.
Gebrselassie, who will be the standard bearer for Ethiopia, suffers from asthma and last month pulled out of the Olympic marathon due to the air pollution in Beijing.
