Derval O'Rourke knows she still has a lot of hard work to do if she is challenge for 100 metre hurdles honours at the IAAF World Championships in August.
The world 60m champion, in only her second outing of the season, was a shadow of the athlete who shared the silver medal at last summer's European Championships.
The 26-year-old Cork star finished seventh in 13.19 seconds as the USA's Michelle Perry, who will defend her title in Osaka, claimed an easy victory in 12.70secs.
O'Rourke – whose outdoor preparations were hampered by a stress fracture in the back said: 'You have to find where you are at.
'Things have been going really well and now I've got the openers out of the way, it's good news.'
O'Rourke's next appearance will be at the European Cup First League 'A' match next weekend in Vaasa, Finland.
