Ireland's James Nolan was re-instated to seventh place in the men's 1500 metres at the European Indoor Championships, which finished in a Spanish 1-2-3 led by Juan Carlos Higuero.
He was disqualified for obstruction immediately after the race but subsequently won an appeal.
Nolan was towards the back of the pack to begin with, taking an outside lane to try and improve his position but eventually being shuffled into last in the early stages.
Two Spaniards, Higuero and Sergio Gallardo, took up the running at the front, gradually building the pace as the race progressed.
Higuero began to pick things up but Nolan improved his position to fourth and looked to take on the Spaniards.
He was swallowed by the pack as they entered the final stages though as he struggled to deal with the helter skelter pace in the end game.
Higuero and Gallardo finished in first and second respectively and Arturo Casado, who came from the middle of the pack, third.
