The United States' Olympic champion Maurice Greene won the men's 100 metres at the IAAF Japan Grand Prix in Osaka today.
The 29-year-old has been suffering with a series of injuries and had to miss the US indoor championships in February with a strained hamstring.
But the triple world sprint champion clocked 10.04 seconds, to lead an American podium sweep ahead of J.J. Johnson, 10.11, and Mickey Grimes, 10.12.
"As far as my race, it was OK. I planned to run faster than I did, but I have to take the win as I did it," said Greene.
