Reports this morning indicated that, in addition to failing a test in the build-up, British sprinter Dwain Chambers failed a dope test at the this year's World Athletics Championships in France.
He previously tested positive for the same drug in the build up to the tournament. It could mean that the entire British 100m relay squad lose their silver medals from the event.
Chambers insists he never knowingly took THG, a performance enhancing anabolic steroid that until recently was thought to be undetectable.
The sprinter stressed he had been categorically assured that the only supplements he had been given were those which complied with the International Association of Athletic Federations (IAAF) anti-doping rules.
