There was disappointment for Ireland's Scott Evans at the Yonex Irish International Badminton Championship Final in Baldoyle this afternoon.

Seeded number six, Evans, the Irish National singles Champion and Beijing Olympian, lost in the final in straight sets to English National Champion and number three seed Rajiv Ouseph, going down 21-5, 21-19.

Evans had taken a few tournaments out to concentrate on training in Denmark, while Ouseph has also prepared well as he won the Scottish Open two weeks ago beating Indian Anand Powar.
