Chloe Magee, from Raphoe, Donegal, has struck form in her preparation for the upcoming Beijing Olympics by progressing to the final of the Yonex US Open Grand Prix in Orange County Badminton Club.
In her quarter-final, she beat number three seed Ana Moura of Portugal.
In the final, Magee played American Lili Zhou, who had earlier beaten the number two seed.
After two very tough and close sets, Chloe lost 23-21 21-18 - an excellent performance for the young Irish player.
