Mark Webster and Brian Woods both booked their places in the semi-finals of the Lakeside BDO World Championships with comfortable last-eight victories.
Webster beat Darryl Fitton 5-1 at Frimley Green to win the right to face defending champion Martin Adams next, and Woods was a 5-3 winner against Scott Waites.
Number one seed Webster needed just short of an hour-and-a-quarter to ease past bookies' favourite Fitton, the Welshman setting up a meeting with Adams on Saturday.
‘The match with Darryl was much closer than the final result suggested,’ he said.
‘It was a strange game, and I did not expect to win. There were small margins of difference throughout the game - but it was one of those days when I was hitting double tops.’
Looking forward to facing Adams, he said: ‘Martin is a great 'darter' - but he is there to be shot down.
‘I am feeling more comfortable with each game I play - and I will just put as much pressure on him as I can.’
After ousting number-three seed Waites, Woods must next beat surprise contender Simon Whitlock if he is to make the final.
