GPA chairman Dessie Farrell has described the current impasse regarding Government grants as the greatest level of frustration he's experienced among senior inter-county players during his time with the association.
Farrell was speaking today at the announcement of the Opel GPA player of the month awards.
An executive meeting took place last Friday night regarding the log-jam and four regional meetings will now take place over the next few weeks to inform players of the current situation and to discuss a possible solution.
GPA officials are set to meet the new Minister for Sport, Seamus Brennan, in the next week or two.
