Andy 'Pieman' Smith and Wes Newton showed no mercy to the two Far East representatives at the Ladbrokes.com World Championship in Purfleet today.
Neither of the English duo lost a leg as they totally outclassed their first-round opponents, although there was a definite contrast in how the seeds performed.
Smith, a Warwickshire lumberjack, was well below par against China's Shi Yongsheng, for whom the highlight came when he scored 140 with his first three darts.
Newton, from Fleetwood, produced a much more professional display against Japan's Tetsuya Wada, a karate black belt who turned to darts when he had to give up the martial art due to injury.
