Donegal manager Brian McIver will wait until midday on Saturday before his naming his side to face Westmeath in the Allianz NFL Division 2 semi final against Westmeath at Breffni Park on Sunday.

Centre-half forward, Ciaran Bonner will miss the game as a result of an ankle injury which ruled him out of last Sunday's round seven victory over Roscommon.

Initial reports that Bonner might have sustained a fractured ankle are wide of the mark, nonetheless, Brian McIver is anxious that the Glenswilly player be afforded every opportunity to make a full recovery.

There are also major doubts about Rory Kavanagh who sustained a calf injury against Longford a week ago. The St. Eunans player has also been feeling the effects of flu this week and didn't feature against Roscommon on Sunday last.
