The long-awaited Allianz National Football League Division 2A clash between Donegal and Longford has finally got the go-ahead for next Tuesday (April 4).
The match, which was originally scheduled to take place on March 5 but was postponed after a disagreement over which county should have home advantage, will take place at Ballyshannon (throw-in 6.15pm).
In the original published fixtures, Donegal were down to have a home game, but Longford disputed this, demanding a switch as it was the fourth year on the trot that they had to play four league games away from their Pearse Park base.
Both counties were expecting notification of a new date from the GAA last Monday, but no announcement was made.
Longford, who sit fourth in the table, refused to play the match this weekend due to seven of their senior players being involved in Sunday's Leinster Under-21 FC final against Laois.
