The Galway Black Dragon Kickboxing club will bring the Pro-Am Heavyweight Full Contact Kickboxing Title Of The World to the city's Leisureland Complex in Salthill on May 5, the first time an event of that magnitude has taken place in Ireland. Ireland's European Heavyweight Champion Sean Collier (trainer of the Senior Wexford Hurling team) will take on world number one contender Shevckenko from the Ukraine over seven rounds for the vacant title.
Irish Champion Owen Flatley takes on Zakharchuk Sergey, also from the Ukraine, for the European Welterweight Title on the same bill and top lady fighter Clodagh Duggan from the Galway camp, takes on Natalie De Longie from Belfast, for the senior ladies Super Bantamweight Title.
There is a full undercard and the promotion will be similar to a big time Boxing event with approximately 1,500 people in attendance.
